Moriarty’s brave win in the Group 2 $200,000 Hill Stakes at Randwick on Saturday now gives him a shot at a Group 1 race, and his Trainer Chris Waller reported that the Group 1 Metropolitan has been the plan for Moriarty. Moriarty had another classic ride from Nash Rawiller and scored a strong win over last year’s Metropolitan winner, Glencadam Gold.
Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock Ltd purchased Moriarty at Tattersalls October Yearling Sales in 2009 for 52,000gns.
